Janice N. Chapman was born in Woodward, Oklahoma, and raised in Laverne, Oklahoma,where she was taught to slant her poetry to the male genre. She has written poetry most of herlife. She has several awards for her poetry and has been published in anthologies, newsletters,and on web sites. She is also a member of the Academy of Western Artists (AWA).Her poetry, both fact and fictional, reflects the emotions of the times, the hearts of thepeople, and the on-going struggles and trivia of life in general. She writes both traditional andcowboy poetry.She currently lives in Enid, Oklahoma. And has recorded some of her poetry to CD’s andcassettes with the assistance and guitar accompaniment of DJ Paul Shields of Hobart,Oklahoma.
